Mission and Vision
Kenwood Academy is committed to building collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and the community to provide a rigorous educational program that prepares all students, including students with disabilities, for college success.


2008-2010 School Improvement Goals
  1. Literacy: Improve literacy instruction and achievement by implementing a targeted literacy plan and providing teachers with professional development, planning time, coaching, and standardized assessments.

  2. Mathematics: Improve math instruction and achievement by providing students greater access to technology and providing teachers with planning time, professional development, coaching, and standardized assessments.

  3. On Track to Graduation: Increase the course and credit completion rate by providing students with academic supports, providing teachers the opportunity to collaborate and enhancing parent communication.

  4. School Climate: Improve the school climate by providing students a personalized learning environment, promoting academic success and citizenship and expanding opportunities for student voice and student leadership.
